Hi, I’m Christine, the founder of Aussome Pets.

People often ask how the name came to be — and the answer is simple: all pets are awesome.

My journey began in 2012 when I rescued my first Australian Shepherd. He was two years old and quickly became my heart and my inspiration. As a designer by trade, I was already creating pet apparel and accessories at the time — and I was lucky enough to bring my dog to the office with me. He wasn’t just my companion; he was my first product tester, my muse, and my daily reminder of why thoughtful, well-designed pet products matter.

Years later, after the heartbreaking loss of my first Aussie, my life felt incomplete without that special energy. So I adopted a puppy — another Australian Shepherd named Mango. And if you know Aussies, you know they’re like potato chips… you can’t have just one. That’s how Zelda joined the family. She was four when I rescued her, and she completed our little pack.

Coming back to the world of pets felt natural — almost inevitable. I know what pets love, what works, and what doesn’t, because every product I offer is tested and approved by my own dogs. I pour my heart into selecting items that are practical, stylish, comfortable, and made with pets’ happiness in mind.

The name Aussome Pets is a blend of Aussie and Awesome — a tribute to the breed that changed my life and to the belief that every pet deserves the very best.

And yes… while Aussies stole my heart, I adore cats too. I’ve had cats since I was a little girl, and they’ve always been part of my world.
